11 to Noon: Tour and reading at the Matawan Historical Society with readings by John J. Trause and Dan Aubrey.

Selections from Philip Freneau, Francis Hopkinson, William Livingston, Annis Boudinot Stockton, Philip Fithian, Jonathan Odell, and Thomas Paine read by Gregg G. Brown, Luray Gross, Coleen Marks, Helen Ward, Robert Goodman, Linda Johnston Muhlhausen, and Dan Aubrey.
3 to 3:20 p.m.: Discussion by Barry Orr, board member of the Matawan Historical Society, of the supposed portrait of Philip Freneau.
3:20 to 3:45: Film by Jared Weeks, Philip Freneau, Poet of the Revolution.
3:50 to 4:50: Reading of works by Revolutionary-era New Jersey writers and original works by today’s New Jersey writers. Music of Francis Hopkinson performed by Tony Sloan.
